Gabay Concert

Last night was the Gabay Concert featuring Orange and Lemons, Cueshe, Mayonnaise, Spongecola, Barbie, and Stonfree. For P150, I was able to watch five of the coolest bands of the year! Sa'n ka pa? Haha! Anyway, for P150, I had lots of fun. I saw the Gabayanos that I seldom see anymore (kasi bihira na ako makatambay) and of course, naka-apak na ulit ako sa High School covered courts, nakaka-reminisce lang hehehehe.

Then, Elmer and I, being the "oportunistas" that we were known to be, used our being Gabayanos to help Jo guard the entrance gate for the bands. Syempre, andyan na ang opportunity to get the bands' autographs, so why not grab the opportunity di ba? Hehehe. We used our concert posters for the autograph signing and we were able to get autographs from the drummer of Orange and Lemons, the singer of Stonefree, Gosh of Spongecola (syempre, idol eh), the singer and bassist of Mayonnaise, the guitarist of Cueshe, and of course, Barbie Almalbis, hehehehe. So since we're already at the backstage, we already took their autographs before they went to the stage para hindi na kami makikipag-giyera sa mga fans nila after nila tumugtog, except for Barbie Almalbis coz we took her autograph right after she played her five songs, in short, nanguna lang kami hehehe. We also took the opportunity para magpa-picture with Barbie, astig nga eh, ang bait niya hehehe. And as a plus, it was her birthday that night so our picture with her was a picture with her on her birthday! haha! (babaw ba? labo hehe, nalaman ko lang kasi sa net na Aug 26 pala bday niya hehe). She was really nice enough na magpa-picture with us, coolness. :)

Anyway, Orange and Lemons was the bomb, Barbie performed really great, Cueshe was astig and the crowd loved them (although I still hate their Stay song coz katunog ng The Greatest View ng Silverchair), Spongecola was really cool as usual (go Yael and Gosh! galing niyo!), Mayonnaise was completely "malufet", and Stonefree ended the concert with a bang. In the simplest sense, the concert was great! But after the concert, nagkaroon ako ng malalim na palaisipan... GUSTO KO MAGING RAKSTAR!!! Hahaha! Yun lang. :)

I really admire this artist not just because of her looks, but for her wonderful talent in songwriting as well. And I really appreciate her guitar skills and creativity in making rhythmes for her songs. Galing! Idol talaga! :D 

The Velveteen Rabbit. Wala lang, I just remembered the Junior Classics short story of the Velveteen Rabbit and how much I have appreciated the story ever since I was a kid. I don't know why but somehow, the story really makes me smile and it often reminds me of my childhood days. Unna and I even bought a book of the Velveteen Rabbit in one of the bookstores in Greenbelt and we even read it together (pero di ata namin natapos kasi we had to eat dinner na hehe). Wala lang, this was the picture I used to see while I was reading the Velveteen Rabbit back then when I was six I think. To hell with all the other books that I've read; The Velveteen Rabbit is still the best! :) 

Tiring Day

Hay, wala lang, today was just a tiring day, pero at least productive hehehe. Kwento ko pa ba? Parang ayaw ko kasi parang ganito nag-start, i woke up super tired kasi i got home 3am na the night before coz i watched Spongecola and Kitchie Nadal at Zirkoh (by the way, galing nila hehehehe), so syempre pagod na ako. Then i woke up early the next day because i have to meet my thesis partner sa Ateneo ng 9am (pero nakarating ako ng Ateneo ng 10am, as usual, late hehehe).

Anyway, pagdating ko sa Ateneo CTC-314, my partner and I did our DSP project on MP3 File Reader. It was quite frustrating kasi ang hirap mag-program sa C++!!! Kainis!!! Tapos inaantok pa ako.... Hehe. So we programmed from 11am up to 7:30pm!!! Exag sa tagal, hindi pa namin natapos yung program pero may nagawa naman kaming progress kahit papaano hehehe. Sa sobrang antok ko na at brain drain, nakatulog na ako sa carpet ng thesis lab namin hehehehe. Wala na lang talaga akong pakialam kung maalikabok yun or what, basta makatulog lang kahit sandali hehehehe.

So we went home na ng mga 7:30pm, tapos ewan, parang pagod ako na stressed na drained na ewan...ewan...ewan... hehehe. I didn't even eat dinner coz hindi ko feel, parang ang moody ko bigla hehehehe. So ayun, kahit pagod ako, nagawa ko pang mag-internet at magsulat sa blog. So i'll sleep na in a while so I can start my study on MPEG-4 tomorrow para sa report ko on Wednesday. I just hope, maintindihan ko yung mga compression ek ek ng MPEG-4 hehehehe. Grabe, boring na ng buhay ko, wala na akong makwento hehehehe. Sige na, baboo!
